New Insured Mortgage Rules for New Builds
Effective December 15, 2024, all insured purchases of newly-built homes (including first-time buyers) can extend their amortization from 25 to 30 years, offering lower payments and easier qualification. Note: an insurance premium will apply.
Info note: That long-term rate hold can be higher during the initial process, but it will be reviewed closer to possession, Good news! It will not be higher than the original rate, but it may come down!
